The name of "DEKA-DUO" consists of first letters of surnames. One of them is Leonid Karpov — professor of Saint-Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts and Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory. The other one is his student Dmitry Denisov, who graduated Saint-Petersburg University of Culture and Arts.

In this duo you can find a lot of contrasts: combined traditions and innovations, experience and creative experiments, brightly emotions and exact interpretation, music of different composers and own improvisations and arrangements. The main feature of the playing is the improvisation in various styles, combined with high technique of playing and culture of sound.

Musicians of "DEKA-DUO" are prizewinners of different competitions and festivals, including the International Guitar Competitions.They take part in different creative projects at RADIO and TV in Russia and others countries.

In their repertoire there is classical music and popular music of different countries. There are such genres as Russian style, Spanish traditional music, flamenco, famous jazz themes, Latin American music, other genres of popular guitar music and own compositions, variations, improvisations and arrangements.
